Braverman says she's been "politically homeless" for over 2 years, which means she was reelected in 2024 as an MP for a party she didn't want to be a member of.

And she says Tories "failed Britain [on] Brexit and immigration". She was Brexit minister and Home Secretary. Twice.

But "vote for me!"

Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

Whoa… what just happened to the algorithm? Suddenly my feed is flooded with;
- wrestling
- tattoos
- Star Trek
- personal medical stories from the US
I have not previously seen or interacted with any of this. Clicking ‘Show less like this’ repeatedly is tedious. Any advice out there?!!

Two-thirds of UK voters wrongly think immigration is rising, poll finds.

Net migration to the UK fell by more than two-thirds to a post-pandemic low in the year ending June 2025, but 67% of the people polled thought it had increased

Does ‘Show less like this’ actually work as a way to refine your feed? I’m getting some content types that I really don’t want to see but repeated ‘Show less like this’ just seems to be sourcing more of it 🙄

DANISH PARLIAMENT MEMBER: “🇺🇸 had 30 bases on Greenland, why did you leave? You can resume that tomorrow without attacking a NATO ally… the rationale lacks factual foundation and doesn’t stand any logic testing.”

(Unless the point is to hurt us and end NATO, a Putin/Xi goal)

So cool how we constantly have to chase impossible goals set by execs very distant from the actual work, and that we always have to output 20% more every year with fewer people to support it and a shrinking economy to buy it. Really sets us all up for ✨ success ✨ doesn’t it?

This is fucking insane. The BBC is adjusting output to “win back” Reform voters while ex-Tory spin doctor, Gibb, sits on its board.

That’s not public service or impartiality - it’s interference.

Bending over for Farage puts the BBC in the gutter with the Daily Mail. bylinetimes.com/2025/06/09/b...

Penguins 💪
Kind of my favorite thing is that penguins are now a sign of the resistance. In a way, they always were, living in the most threatened environment that is warming up at 4x the rate the rest of the planet is; being targeted by tariffs is just the ironic icing on the tanked economy cake
