This may not work for everyone, but I found a hack that works for me for big dinners.
Clean up the kitchen. Put Bluetooth headphones in and clean the kitchen. You both not only score major brownie points with whoever’s kitchen it is, but it still feels like you’re socializing even when you’re not

I get the vibe that some people think that VR will die.
I don’t agree. I think it’ll keep going out of necessity. Right now, VR social interaction is basically impervious to bots. You can be certain that each interaction you have is real. You can’t be sure nearly anywhere on the internet.

I find it funny that I’ll save a game multiple times before closing it “just in case” but with documents, I’ll click close and save on the “close without saving” dialogue.

My small Linux server now entirely runs via docker containers.
No handmade jank scripts. No random programs launched at startup in random folders.
Just nice dashboards and centralized performance metrics.
All for services that average 0 users. Oof.
