9 mailboxes cleared. 3 driveways cleared. 2 falls on the ice. 1 sore back (even though I used a tractor, not a shovel). 0 broken garage doors (thankfully I was able to fix it).

As payment, I got 2 hugs, 1 thank you, and the promise to deliver a homemade cheesecake at some point int he future.

Yep. This is the county I live in. They ban books, hate LGBTQIA+ students, and encourage prayer before and during meetings. Our kids are out of the system now but there are so many other that are not safe here.

A reminder that bringing shitty posts over from That Fascist Site to be performatively angry about them here is a choice you don't have to make! You can just leave them there! There is so much else to be legitimately angry about! You will not lack for content!

As much as I enjoyed today, I have now reached my fill of tractors. We spent hours shopping. Massey Ferguson. New Holland. John Deere. Kubota. Kioti. Yanmar. Pretty much everything readily available for sale near us. And of course all the attachments. Lots of options. But no decisions. Yet.

As we ascend the staircase that takes us to adulthood, let the final scene of STRANGER THINGS S5 be a reminder that we can always go back and revisit our childhood by playing games with friends.

Never knew drinking a soda from a glass bottle could be so dangerous.

Until today when I popped the cap off and apparently took some glass with it.

Thankfully just a minor cut on my lip. And a few wasted dollars. And a serious hankering for a grape Nehi.

It was really weird seeing a plane this big fly so low.
United Airlines Flight 803 ignited some brush around the runway as it was departing Dulles Airport,
“The fire was extinguished and the flight returned to Dulles, landing safely at about 1:30 p.m. when it was checked by airport fire responders,”

Yule ≠ Christmas

Yule is one of the oldest winter solstice festivals, with origins among the ancient Norse thousands of years ago.

Although today it’s heavily associated with, and even confused with, Christmas, the celebration existed long before Christianity. 🧵⬇️
