When the store was training up my replacement because I was transitioning to a campus job, I worked 30 hours a week at both jobs for a whole month. Both paid hourly, so the checks were gorgeous, but I thought I might actually drop dead by the end.

It's Icelandic thunder bread, which I first tasted in Reykjavik a half dozen years ago and have eaten myself sick on more than once. I used date syrup this time because I couldn't find Lyle's and I find the honey-molasses combo in this recipe a bit fussy.
