I've heard the thermal receipt printers are poisoning customers and you shouldn't touch them, but I guess it's fine if employees handle them all day.

When the store was training up my replacement because I was transitioning to a campus job, I worked 30 hours a week at both jobs for a whole month. Both paid hourly, so the checks were gorgeous, but I thought I might actually drop dead by the end.

And the "helpers" at the self checkout drive me up the wall because they don't understand half the troubleshooting tricks you can use, and they don't listen at all, and they'll push buttons while you're trying to do something. Let me type in the damn SKU manually!

I lived with my grandparents while I was in college and my grandfather was quietly furious when I got myself a TV that could be plugged directly into the coax without using his cable box 😂

It's Icelandic thunder bread, which I first tasted in Reykjavik a half dozen years ago and have eaten myself sick on more than once. I used date syrup this time because I couldn't find Lyle's and I find the honey-molasses combo in this recipe a bit fussy.
