Welcome new followers! I mainly post dog photos, food pics, and wacky observations. If you don't like pit bulls, hearty Midwestern meals or rants from a middle-aged white lady, perhaps move on. But if you want stick around, cheers!
This was a delightful end to an incredible half-time show! I hope all the racists in my family stay mad.

I just listened to this interview for a second time. I'm floored by Gov. Tim Walz. I applaud him for his steady leadership. We could have had this man as our VP!! Love his absolute disdain for RoJo.

I've managed to curate an algorithm on the social media sites I use to be mostly friends, family & creators who share my values & outrage at the current regime. I know living in an echo chamber is dangerous, but I would argue that seeing that side of th3 internet is also dangerous for my sanity.

I've been thinking lately about the GOP & their demonization of so-called DEI hires. I wonder if they realize that any man who is a nurse, teacher, or secretary is technically a DEI hire since back in the day, women were really only allowed those professional pathways. 🤔

I am still waiting on the deep thoughts and reflections text from my father in the wake of Renae Good's death. The one for Charlie Kirk came a day later. Wonder what's taking so long this time 🤔

I'm so angry and I'm not afraid to express it! It's making my relatives uncomfortable. Which makes me even angrier. My outrage shouldn't be what makes people uncomfortable. The slide into fascim should make everyone uncomfortable.

Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable

Got so mad this morning I called my congresswoman and my senators and then did some protesting with the group that protests every Saturday by our local library. I really hope things get better from here. Fuck this regime.

My husband's grandmother caught covid at Thanksgiving 2020 & died by Christmas. Five years later, and I'm still baffled that this family decided to travel from all over to have Thanksgiving with an elderly pancreatic cancer patient during the outbreak of a novel virus for which we had no vaccine. 🤯
