As President Trump continues his attacks on America’s public servants, I was glad to have the opportunity to meet with AFGE Local 96 in DC today. I will always stand up for these dedicated public servants who work tirelessly on behalf of Central and Southern Illinois veterans.

The cold weather has been brutal this winter, and with energy prices rising, working families in my district are struggling. I’m fighting to protect critical programs like LIHEAP that help families heat their homes AND to pass policies that invest in domestic energy production to bring down costs.

It’s deeply disappointing that the Domestic Energy Task Force doesn’t include a single Democrat. Biofuels are a historically bipartisan issue that impacts blue and red districts alike. Our farmers deserve better than this blatant partisanship.
