New from 404 Media: you can't refuse to be scanned by ICE's new facial recognition app, according to internal DHS document I obtained. Photos captured by the app are stored for 15 years, including U.S. citizens. We've seen officers scanning faces w/ phones on streets

Saw Dropkick Murphys in Riga on Saturday night. An absolutely epic show in what is now one of my favourite venues anywhere. Spent a good chunk of the show in the pit, one full fay into my 47th year on earth. And it was fucking dope. Never gonna say no to a good pit. Great night.

They just want to kill people. That’s all.
I’m a drug use researcher and I’m here to assure you in very strong terms that blasting boats to smithereens is not an “anti-drug strategy” in any way, form, or fashion.

One is not a trend, but watch this space.
A 23-year-old man from Kharkiv detonated a grenade during a document check on a train at Ovruch station in Zhytomyr region, killing himself, a border guard, and two civilian women. Twelve others were injured, including two servicemen, according to Ukraine’s National Police.

It’s amazing how much being back in Riga feels like being home. I love this city.

Imagine telling your kids that he’s a good role model. What an absolute fucking loser.
Trump's Truth Social account just posted this AI video of him flying a fighter jet that reads "King Trump."

AI Trump is wearing a crown while he dumps shit on protesters. He's such a pathetic little man.

If the Premiere wants to pass legislation to force teachers back to work, I would love to see the ATA as a whole ignore that legislation. That won’t happen of course, but I’d love to see them do it.

Something I have now, that didn’t have before my career, is the feeling of dread and the feeling of “I’m not coming back” that I have in the days leading up to traveling. Even when it’s a destination I’m excited to get to. I *hate* this fucking feeling. Thanks Bin Laden.

This completely misses the point.
I was once whining to a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist that one of my key sources had cut me off. She said: "Access is overrated." And indeed it is. The press is not likely to miss out on any crucial Pentagon stories just because they can't roam the corridors.

I *still* don’t think Americans truly appreciate the damage that’s been done to the fabric of their society & their country. This isn’t a few people. This is the kind of thing that - eventually - results in Truth and Reconciliation tribunals in other countries.
New — Video shared with me shows ICE officers in DC detaining a man on Friday.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”
