and we're done. that was - frustrating, i guess! there was some really satisfying stuff in there! the relationship stuff was that fandom-logic "i ship them so they get together" style thing where imo there just isn't enough THERE to get your teeth into; there are also some stuff like this -

i'm on an ereader but this is abt 1/3 of the way through the book; there are three separate pov characters and most of voyne's impositions on phosyne have been offscreen. idk it just does not land for me/feels very ao3 house style
