To be clear....some (cough @timmiller.bsky.social ) thought that it was good that the Dems caved, bc it meant SNAP benefits would be back. It was pretty evident that just bc the GOP "agreed" to bring the benefits back that that didn't mean they weren't going to immediately denigrate the program.

I am generally a realist and encourage others to be so when it comes to the base as well as swing voters, bc we tend to get over amped on our own hype around here. However there are inflection points where those ppl become highly energized and, well, angry.
I also beg people here to understand who the actual Democratic base is, and I will give you a hint: BlueSky Lefties are a pretty small part of it. Facebook resistlibs/winemoms and African Americans are the core of it.
