Downloaded a new NES core on Retroarch and tested it with OBS Studio and my webcam and microphone on. It seemed to run ok. Might try streaming DK again later to give it a full test.

Not sure what the issue is there with RetroArch. I don't remember having issues like when I played Clue on it last year. Oh well, MC was still fun.
