Personally, It's telling that any actual professional I know that has been forced to integrate AI into their game dev process came out the other end saying it's made more work for themselves, was painful to work with, made crap, and was simultaneously told the tool was good and they were at fault.

"we USE ai, but our game wont CONTAIN it" is a clarification that no one has ever cared about & now CEOs are using it as a wedge to get their foot in the door as a part of a long term plan into normalizing AI, just like how 'it's just placeholder' was used with E33. dont cede even an inch of ground

I use Vivaldi, which is an early chromium fork, if you're looking for a replacement that's good.
You can change almost everything, even right click menus. It can use Chrome add-ons but also has native adblockers which work very well. No ads, no AI, no bullshit 😌

The thing thats so insidious about using AI this way is that one of the main ways artists get hired are studios looking for art references and they find us and reach out.
This is removing a major avenue to get work if they can just generate nameless derivations of our ideas.

Every time someone says they “only” use AI for references or composition it always ends up that the product is based off that. So I dunno who folks think they are fooling, like that suddenly makes it ok to use the automated theft machine cuz you added one more step.
