Time to practice more behind a real kit, now that the kids are older and sleeping better.

Looking forward to playing with the new toy. Will be nice to not have to set up a gazillion mics.

Just had the sudden urge to install Win3.1 and track down a copy of Klik & Play.

Has there ever been a Klik & Play game jam? Did enough people grow up with it for a jam to make sense?

Slowly getting back into Unity game dev as a hobby after a bit of a break.

It really highlights just how atrocious Xcode is when you go back to any other IDE. Rider makes writing code a breeze - I don't feel like I'm fighting it the whole time.

Tidal: super high quality audio streaming for the audiophiles out there.

Also Tidal: can't handle playing two songs without an audible gap, ruining most album listening experiences.

So Your New Band Just Played Their First Show: How To Accept That No One Is Ever Going To Come See You Live for a Few Years
Great show last night! Seriously, props. Your new band’s first show was packed with friends, your significant other, your significant other’s friends, your significant other’s coworkers, and your drum...

I don't think Amuse.io have done this yet, but no doubt it's just a matter of time

I’ve added shader.vision to my “stuff to demo to people” on the Vision Pro. It’s free (though if you’re a dev, this is so worth supporting), and the demo shaders will get the ooh’s and aaah’s.

Check out this monstrosity. Not a single decent game on it. Truly a work of art

Just had my first "Jesus Christ there's a Huntsman in my car" situation.

Does that mean I can officially call myself an Australian now?

The absolute worst imo are games that are auto-renewing subscriptions that don't actually regularly provide new content, or even have server costs to justify it. Particularly insidious in children's games.
My other popular opinion is that in-app purchases fucked mobile gaming.

Yes, there are exceptions; I know them. But the whole “our game gets unplayable after a point unless you buy coins” thing just means that games are no longer fun and developers aren’t trying to balance playability any longer.

As a drummer, I often write parts by programming them in a DAW. It works (quite well, actually), but I can’t shake the imposter syndrome - like I should be able to bust out a mean groove or fill on the spot without planning it out first. Anyone else feel this?

Being a junior dev circa 2013 and having to wrap your head around Obj-C blocks was quite the trip.
