ICE has been holding a disabled Black man for a year!

Rodney Taylor is a double amputee who was days away from receiving new prosthetic legs when ICE took him.

He’s been denied his prosthetics & placed in solitary.

His health is declining.

Public outrage might save his life.

Say his name:

Now more than ever we need people to mask up to help resist fascism.

It’s much easier to resist when you have your health.

Masking protects your health & the health of others.

It shows those in power that you refuse to leave vulnerable people behind.

It keeps the resistance inclusive!

You can sign the petition to release Rodney below!

He’s being denied disability accommodations.

He’s been placed in solitary confinement.

His health is deteriorating.

He’s been locked up for a year.

It’s beyond cruel and unusual punishment.

It’s eugenics.

People already working hard to prove how perfect Alex Pretti was. To show he didn't "deserve" to be killed. But it's a trap folks. You're only feeding into a dynamic where people who are considered lesser get no protection. You don't have to be an Alex Pretti to deserve to live.

You can’t detain a 5 year old child.

If a masked man grabs a kid off the street and puts him in an unmarked car… that’s kidnapping.

If that child is then sent to another state? That’s trafficking.

Language matters here.

What happened to Liam Ramos should outrage us all.

Gently:

We can care for caregivers without diminishing the people in their care.

It’s a hard thing, caregiving, but treating it as something heroic/saintly reinforces the narrative that needing care is a burden, instead of accurately identifying systemic support failures.

It boggles my mind that in 2026 people are still getting hospital acquired Covid.

They’re still having to choose between care and Covid.

They’re still having to risk their health to access medical care.

We can do better than this.

Clean air and respirators save lives!

The ICE agent who shot Marimar Martinez in Chicago tried to goad her out of her car.

He said “do something b*tch” and shot her 5 times.

The ICE agent who shot Nicole Renee Good did the same thing. Stood right in front of her vehicle and yelled “f*cking bitch”.

They hate women & it shows.

If by bad cold and flu season you mean that lots of people have immune dysregulation from covid infections and viruses are hitting them harder now, then yes.

When Covid first started, I felt hope.

I genuinely believed we would move forward as a more inclusive society.

That disabled people would start receiving the accommodations they had needed for years (like remote work).

That hope was crushed when we rushed back to normal

#OneOfTheTwo and one of the many Jon Stewart mocked this week. COVID took my job, my voice (I was a classically trained mezzo soprano), for a long time my ability to read. I don’t want to invite it in again.

Attitudes like Stewart’s stigmatize, make it hard to socialize or exist in public.

At some point, those who knowingly overrode (and continue to override 🤬) airborne mitigations for COVID should be subject to criminal charges in response to the lives they've destroyed.

you don’t get to indulge in whataboutism as an excuse to not do anything.

stop insisting COVID-aware folk want you to shut down the world. we’re asking you to open it up—for everyone.

so be a big boy/girl: wear a mask, and it you want to help disabled people, take a cue from the late alice wong:

Our fight is to make Indigenous People’s Day every single day.
For this to happen, we must end settler colonialism entirely.

This means toppling Empire, LandBack, and also, defeating the internal colonizer in our minds.
