Called my Congressman Mike Lawler’s office to inquire about health care subsidies and they had the audacity to refer me to my state senator. When I pushed back, was told I could open a case, but only online. Spoke to me like I was a child rather than a voter with a valid inquiry.

My colleague points out here that possibly one in seven requests to our library now may be assisted by LLMs.
When those point to fictional documents, that's a huge staff time drain. There's often no quick way to check if an undigitized primary source doc exists beyond physically pulling some boxes.

I don’t know what happened on the NJ Turnpike and GSP tonight, but we just had the most scenic route from NYC to Philly in the decade+ I’ve known my husband. Bernardsville, Whippany, Raritan, the teeny tiny Washington Crossing bridge. It was weird and long, but often very pretty.
