Other than being told I’m supposed to care about it, I don’t think anything in my life has ever been impacted by whether someone immigrated here legally or illegally.
I’m sure it’s my own naïveté and/or privilege, but what’s the big deal? Why shouldn’t we welcome people into the US?

And I’ll add that the Constitution was ratified by the states, so Tr*mp has it fully backwards. The federal government is the agent of the states, and all governments under the US Constitution are agents of THE PEOPLE.
States aren’t “agents” of the federal government. Amendment X: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States….” Also, our Constitution assigns to the states the administration of federal elections, dumb ass.
