Unfortunately I don't see much evidence of the Paris agreement resulting in significant reduction in GHG emissions.

I have yet to see an attribution study of a relative decrease of CO₂ emissions from SSP5-8.5. E.g. correcting for COVID and the energy wars.

I think they ‘morph’ a bit with light conditions & viewing proximity (like Sibe Chiffs).

Often dull & grey, sometimes green tones are more apparent (esp in the hand). Recent TG42 bird was very “grey” in the field, greener in the hand.

However, Hume’s always seems less “crisp”.

The cause of the decline - climate change - is ignored & has been for years despite opportunities to communicate it to the public.

Climate-caused reduction of first-year survival is driving the decline & that impacts birds whether they come from a roof or a brick. Hence the data:

Yes, completely and knowingly distracted attention from the real cause of swift declines (climate change) and led everyone to think a brick will mage everything great.

Bewick’s in east Norfolk have declined hugely due to climate-caused short stopping (as have other wintering species).

Won’t be long before they stop appearing altogether. 🤷‍♂️
