Bad and wrong in all the best ways.
The limitation is all the autistic people in the study were male but it's still interesting. Women mask more so it would be good to know if we get the same response.

As we mourn Rob Reiner, don’t skip this: he was, pretty much, personally responsible for overturning California’s Prop 8 banning same sex marriage.

It's not just the loss of foreign language fluency but access to the richness of other literatures. I read everything from Mediaeval French in the original to modern at #UCL and stayed on for a fully funded PhD. I loved it. So sad.

A friendly reminder that Hitler was TIME’s Person of the Year in 1938. We are *checks watch* right on schedule.
I guess it's fitting that it's a reimagined, worse version of someone else's artwork

Almost certainly the best thing I was ever told about owls was when I met an owl handler at an owl sanctuary and he told me that the wild owls who lived near the sanctuary worried about the tame show owls there and sometimes stopped by to leave them shrews and mice as presents.

Humans are 66% monogamous at least when it comes to breeding, if not permanently - and no data on same sex couples.

I watched Robin, Robin - the latest Aardman animation on iPlayer. Gillian Anderson is excellent as the voice of the cat. Like a feline Kaa the snake (Jungle Book). Very sultry.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

I've just been to see Pillion. Alexander Sarsgaard towers over the rest of the cast but from his bio I see he is 194cm which is only 9cm/3in taller than me, from which I surmise the rest of the cast were hobbits.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.
