Yup, it's always been like that. It's another reason they keep the minimum wage low so that many will join the military just to get out of their podunk towns that offer no jobs. I hope we never have an active draft again. War is almost always wrong, and it's almost always for profit.

It was a struggle for him as well. He was attending a business college that closed, then the draft got on his tail. His high school class of 1967 really hade it the worst. Tonkin Gulf incident affected a lot.

But there was an active draft when Trump was of age. 5 deferments, and someone else had to go in his place each time. My husband went to Nam because the draft was about to get him, so he joined the Navy. Ended up on the riverboats. He knows Trump is a big mouth coward.

Thanks for posting this compilation. I remember the day she was arrested in that restaurant, and clearly she thought she was above the law. Then, later in court, the judge blistered her, as he should've.
