I think it's good to have multiple forms of media to draw inspiration from. Play lots of games, read a few books, take some recommendations from friends, hit random sometimes and learn something new.

I started Handplates ten years ago today, which is a totally insane thought. I had no idea where that idea would take me, or how much impact it'd have on my life! So I decided to redraw the first comic as a fun experiment. Not too different, although Papyrus looks better lol. Is that a bad thing...?

My Ball x Pit base is an eye sore. Constructing it hasn't felt great either. But, I'd argue that the way Ball x Pit makes you build New Ballbylon is great for developing the flexible mindset that creates communities. Read about it in my latest @unwinnable.com:

Also important to remember not to get too hung up following references! Drawings are symbols that represent the subject in an appealing way, and that’s not always the most literal, accurate 3D rotation. Just look at how 3D anime uses automorph to distort the models at different angles to look better
