NBC projects all three Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices will keep their seats. Republicans had hoped to oust them and undercut Dems' majority on the court.

Obviously, that didn't work. www.nbcnews.com/politics/ele...

A super majority folks. Amazing.
And, as an added bonus, @statenavigate.org is now projecting Dems with 62 seats (out of 100) in the VA House of Delegates (even more amazing when you consider that Dems had only 34 seats heading in to the 2017 elections). Wow, what a night! bluevirginia.us/2025/11/live...

congress has a $6 Billion dollar SNAP emergency fund.
One in eight Americans will struggle to put food on the table if the Trump shutdown extends through next week.

Yet Republicans in Congress are nowhere to be found.

Tell them it's time to clock back in—because they work for us:

congress is sitting on a $6 billion dollar emergency fund for SNAP Mike Johnson has decided not to use it.
Food bank director: “for every meal that a food bank provides, the SNAP program provides nine. There’s no way we can meet that gap.”

No, math is not hard. If you reduce something by 100% then it's free. Anything more than 100% and you're getting a rebate. If Trump insists that he's reducing drug prices by 500%, people should insist on a massive rebate.

I hear ya and I’m sorry you are going through this. I believe we can all come together over a shared table and a plate of food. Peace will come.
@tcolicchio.bsky.social Do you know how hard it is for an American-Ukrainian to find a moment of peace right now. #TopChef used to be a place I could rely on to forget about my family being bombed everyday. But not anymore. You let Russian chief on, who brags about her Russian restaurant. WTAF!!!

Kicked that habit 40 years ago.
Some people say it’s impossible. I say it’s all up the individuals priorities and fortitude and support. But I also know that not everything works for everyone and some people need more help that others.

I personally think nicotine is the hardest to beat and I’ve beaten a bunch of vices.

Trump and Musk want to tear it all down without a plan to rebuild. The only silver bullet is Dems can get the chance to rebuild it.
I think a potential lesson that will be taken from this era is if a new administration can top to bottom stack the federal bureaucracy with political lackeys and pay almost no price for it from the electorate, then ok fine then maybe President Beshear’s transition team can prepare a similar purge

7 days of a acute back pain necessitated taking opioids followed by a 4 day bout with kidney stones, more opioids. Now feeling really bad after stopping. I can’t imagine how difficult it is to really kick an addiction.

Has Congress appropriated funding for this buyout.
If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.

I take the subway in from Brooklyn
This also just doesn't math. It's a commercial truck so what, $20 per day? If the delivery company serves 5 customers a day that's $4 per delivery—it's gotta be pennies, if that, per item in the delivery. A cook dropping a piece of food costs you at least 2 orders of magnitude more

But also:
Like here, screenshotting instead of QTing so everyone doesn't go piledrive this guy but how much you wanna bet what's actually going on here is 0% about hypothetical delivery cost increases and just 100% "I drive to my restaurant every day and I simply don't want to pay $9 more a day to do that".
