After 3 full days without any notable #SolarFlare activity, the Sun just popped off a moderate M6-class flare! The catch? The event originated from tiny active region AR 14300, and not the behemoth cluster of sunspots we expect to be producing major activity!

Guten Morgen zusammen - heute mal wieder mit einem aktuellen Bild der Sonne per Satellit SDO. Da sind mittlerweile gewaltige Sonnenflecken zu erkennen - teils größer als die Erde, wie das hier einkopierte Bild zeigt.

Eating ice as I emptied birdbath of water early. Now, I wait until dark to avoid awkward scenes like this. 🤣
I empty each night so it's easy to refill in morning with fresh, warm water. She looks into the camera like she's looking into my soul.
It was 21F, temp sensor isn't accurate.
