"Over and out." Every time I see/hear this on TV etc when they use a radio...I cringe.

Over: end of message and I expect a reply (other users can now speak).

Out: end of message and I don't expect a reply (conversation over).

Absolutely delighted to share this video of heavy metal legends Gwar performing a charmingly enjoyable cover of Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club (my 6 year old loved it!) youtu.be/I5XR48KLE8I?...

wikipedia turns 25 today! the last unenshittified major website! backbone of online info! triumph of humanity! powered by urge of unpaid randos to correct each other! somehow mostly reliable! "good thing wikipedia works in practice, because it sure doesn't work in theory" - old wiki adage

My current stance on AI generated content: if you can't be bothered to do the work yourself, I can't be bothered to buy what you're selling.

When you purchase a work you're paying for someone's effort to learn a skill and the time put it into practice.

Low effort = low pay

Just not interested

Surprised to see no mention of the eye watering cost of legit sports streaming channels in this article.

If people can't afford to follow their sports team on legit channels of course they'll turn to piracy. If the Premier League and broadcasters weren't so greedy this situation wouldn't exist.

Please pop over here and wishlist it, and do share if you're able. Thank you.

It’s giving Nazi Demogorgon
Ukip have submitted a new logo and slogan to the Electoral Commission, swapping the £ pound sterling symbol for a cross, that looks very much like it is modelled on the Iron Cross used by Prussia & Germany 1871-1918 and Hitler's Nazi regime from 1933-45

Our Solar System is orbiting the center of our Galaxy at about 220 km/s so in 2025 we collectively traveled something like 7 billion kilometers across the Milky Way. Once in a while, when you have a moment, it’s worthwhile to take a look around, see where you are, and appreciate how far you’ve come.

Yes, yes, but how many Skyrim and Fallout 4 rereleases until we see Fallout 5?
Fallout 5 will exist "in a world where the stories and events of the show happened or are happening," says Todd Howard www.eurogamer.net/fallout-5-wi...

I've also been reminded that Sir Christopher Lee did some Xmas metal songs, and it's marvellous.
