I'm trying to sew a bag I saw a while back without using a pattern. So far there's some sketches, a taped together paper 3D model, and some scraps sewn together. I think this is what "vague concepts of a plan" actually ought to mean.

I'm standing in line @ the food bank behind 2 boomer women who voted for Trump. They are bitching about how everything is so expensive and he is going to fix it, they remember when taco Bell tacos for 49 cents and how we are gonna get those prices again. They're in for a world of disappointment.

This. This is why I don't tolerate the MAGA types who are nice to me. Why I don't want them in my life even if they are polite and friendly. I don't want them getting comfortable in my life to where they think they have the right to bring their friends along or to have any sort of opinion.

I grew up in Thailand and used to look at the US as the place to live in where as a woman I would have equal rights and a better quality of life and worked hard to move here. Now Thailand has universal health care and managed to elect women to the highest office in the land while we backslide.
Unfortunately we haven't yet passed a gender recognition bill, but our current PM (yes we're on our second female PM) promised to fight for it so there's that. www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/gen...

I started boiling some chicken intending to make a quick avogolemono soup with lemons from my friends tree until I remembered it needs eggs, which I don't have. So I started throwing ingredients at random into the pot, tasting as I went. I'm calling this soup "I didn't have eggs"

Trying something new - masala spiced cookies for dunking into a mug of tea. They're a basic shortbreadish sort of recipe with cumin, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, cinnamon, and rose petals, and my house smells like I am bathing in masala chai.. and i couldn't be happier!
