In Targon comic, this is the first (and only, before Leona) Chosen of the Sun. He was a regular but successful Rakkor warrior who was one day granted magical powers by the Sun when his people prayed intensely to the celestial body during a prolonged period of strife.

I want to make it clear that Rakkor (among others) are VILLAINS in the story. And they are also victims of themselves.

I'm getting better at drawing faces. I'm beginning to be able to see the bad proportions that I have historically struggled to. Before, I literally couldn't see WHY a face I drew was wrong, even though I could feel it was. It usually comes down to general misposition and skewing.

So I realized that if I have characters approach the border of their territory and all tribes in the area are hostile to each other; but also the terrain up to the border is neither severe, nor turned into farms - it makes no sense.
Surely if they are holding this area, it's for some reason

The Lunari had hidden many dangerous artifacts, remnants of distant past, in different locked temples.
When Diana was awoken as Chosen of the Moon, the vengeful Moon unlocked all of these temples.
But Diana only has fragmented knowledge of them, based on what she could read in the solari library.

One of the things I like about this setting is how painfully obvious it is that all the bad stuff is the fault of people, even if they talk a lot about religion or what their gods want.

So based on this piece of information from Journal of Justice, I figured the event must have taken place on the side of Mount Targon facing away from Institute of War. Solari organized event, they would prefer to be on the sunny side of the mountain.

I think I'd want to make smaller chunks of story which can be called "completed", but it requires plotlines which are able to have quick payoffs. Definitely not all of them can.

In #TargonComic, there's survival, food and medicine gathering and exploring, besides conflicts! Sometimes one wants to rush to the action but quiet moments are invaluable for character and worldbuilding. #Aphelios #artoflegends

Not only does the wooden shield carry a clear meaning, it's an item that plays an important role in the story more than once!

Worldbuilding is when you have a huge number of characters to whom only a few things happen, and a Story is when you have much fewer characters, to whom a lot of things happen :D

This promotional art (WIP) is all in circles both because of celestial bodies that these people use as justification for their actions, and to represent cycles when it gets animated and goes into rotation. The order is important and tells a mini story!
