That Eurasian Hoopoe is looking absolutely stunning perched on that branch! The vibrant orange crest and striking black and white striped wings make it a real showstopper. The way the light catches its peach-colored chest and long, curved beak is just gorgeous.

It’s Vigil, isn’t?
I am currently "hate-watching" a TV series that is incredibly bad across the board. Terrible acting (by good actors), predictable writing, ridiculous situations that would never happen, non-compelling story lines. I yell constantly at the screen. Cannot wait to watch the next episode tonight.

I offer up this. What could have been dry and dusty is brought to life with potted histories and biographies. It is over 400 pages but is written episodically so can be put down and picked up later. Recommended if you have ever wondered how they agreed to what they agreed to
