Ansari: I think ICE is completely out of control, and there should be no more funding given to ICE. The funding that's already has been given to them through the big ugly bill should be stripped entirely

Absolutely galling to me that the Department of Homeland Security is straight up using Nazi songs on its social media and everyone is acting like it's normal.

Honoured to have this in the new Poetry Ireland Review: huge thanks to Theo Dorgan. Love is the theme and you've all heard me droning on about falling in love with the work of artists here, and the parts of themselves that make the art, are present in the gift always; this is in the same vein.

Breaking NYT:

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

That is a war crime called "perfidy."

It would take a two-word amendment to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 to subject ICE agents and other federal law enforcement officers to the same liability for constitutional violations that local and state officers currently face.

If Congress actually cared about what it's seeing, it could pass that overnight.

The fundraiser for the ICE agent in the Renee Good killing has stayed online in seeming breach of GoFundMe’s own terms of service, prompting questions about selective enforcement.

Across 3 articles, we found 36 people who were killed in custody, during a raid, or directly by an officer in 2025.

One person appeared twice across reports, which is why our count is not 37.

Update: The Trump administration quietly published a final rule prohibiting abortion counseling for Dep. of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries & banning abortion for veterans & loved ones who rely on the VA for care. This policy undermines the dignity & autonomy of our veterans.
“Veterans have historically faced significant barriers to reproductive health care...these barriers are even steeper today.”

Our expert Amy Friedrich-Karnik spoke with @apnews.com about the Trump administration's proposed rule to end abortion access for veterans.
