Probably should get one but I am with Kaiser so it will be the same process and all the doctors will agree with one another. I would have to go out of network and that is too expensive.

The suffering part is what we have to consider. You're so right. 💔

Having dogs for 18 years is a long time. But it was time to let them go. One we put down in July and the other just yesterday. They were both 18. The walk did help. Thank you! 🙏🏽💙

Wow, 20 is great! I was hoping to keep them going that long. Abraham Japanese Chin/Yorkie mix lost all ability to walk & he lost his hearing. He went first & Abigail was attached, so I knew after he was gone she’d decline & that's what happened. My MIL also stopped eating & drinking before passing.😞

Thank you. I felt a lot better after the walk. I have a gym membership, but I find I walk longer outdoors and being outdoors helps clear my head.

Such a hard decision. Abigail was so thin. Went from 5-6 pounds to maybe a pound cause she stopped eating & drinking. She had Canine Cognitive Dysfunction (CCD - doggie dementia). Couldn't hear, smell, or see. Then her body absorbed her left eye. One day it was just gone. She was in tons of pain. 😭

Definitely. We got a silver lab & she’s still a puppy & already huge. Not used to big dogs since my last 2 were small dogs that's why they lived as long as they did.

Labs have so much energy. It is a big adjustment having 2 senior dogs (both 18) that we had to put down to having a big puppy.

I wrote once (700 words) and finished going over my print proof but I mostly relaxed and stayed off the computer. My kids were so happy to have me 100% present.

Yeah, life gets in the way. Can't crank out that many books a year and juggle motherhood.

I know some authors write super fast and have a bunch of books and several series but I found that to be more romance. I'm a thriller author and I find the genre more challenging to write.

Oops I meant it isn't easy to *pull off*

Yes, Zeus is one of my readers favorite characters. Fun fact: he used to have his own POV. But an animal POV isn't easy to pull up and can be distracting. So, I cut.
