👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.

“Air pollution fell substantially as Paris restricted car traffic and made way for parks, people-streets and bike-lanes.”

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.
Paris said au revoir to cars. Air pollution maps reveal a dramatic change.
Air pollution fell substantially as the city restricted car traffic and made way for parks and bike lanes.

Wouldn't this -- peaceful, pervasive, and soon -- be the action most likely to force positive change? Wondering why we aren't seeing calls from large orgs.
"Minnesotans are doing all they can, but they can’t keep fighting alone," writes @soleilho.com. "It’s time for a nationwide general strike: a coordinated withdrawal of labor across industries and regions until ICE is abolished."

There is no left-wing violence in Chicago or Portland. It simply is not happening.

It's so not happening, in fact, that Republicans in Oregon took footage from two South American countries to create a hoax photo about Portland.

They have no actual violent footage to put forward.

California finished a project that will create tons of clean renewable energy & help prevent evaporation and algae formations while keeping solar panels cooler & more efficient.

This article made my day!

California's first solar-covered canal is now fully online
The 1.6-MW pilot system is among a growing number of initiatives to put solar over waterways. The approach could generate gigawatts of power nationwide.

Much needed good news.
Big news: California, Oregon and Washington State just announced a joint "West Coast Health Alliance" to counter Trump/RFK destruction of our public health system.

As I argued last week (see below), this is becoming a new frontier in Dem Gov resistance to Trump.
