So is the current DDR RAM situation going to majorly fuck up Valves hardware launch? They already went from "Expect console pricing" to "Expect current PC pricing"...

I'm on a train, originally scheduled to take roughly 4 hours. I got on 6 hours ago. At least one hour to go still. Tickets were 380€ for two persons.
I've made four trips by train this year, all delayed.
I'm so fucking over this piss poor excuse of a "company" and the government responsible for it.

Just had a scary moment at the airport. Went to put my earbuds in after the security check in only to find out one side stopped working... 😬
Luckily the tip was just a bit clogged. Nightmare fuel.

They wanted people to drop other platforms in favor of Xbox/Windows.
Drive up the market share through cheap unprofitable subscriptions and then once the critical mass is reached you hike up the price until you make a profit, hoping that the customer base is so locked in that they won't leave.

This is why we fund scientists to study things like oyster slobber even if you don’t think it sounds important
⚠️ Chinese researchers have invented bone glue that mimics how oysters stick to surfaces underwater.

The adhesive can reportedly repair orthopedic fractures in 2-3 minutes, even in blood-rich environments, and is bioabsorbable.

So I'm currently in Sardinia, pulled out my iPad to find a restaurant. Apple maps said it's closed. Google maps shows the correct opening hours. Turns out Apple maps does not support multiple separated opening hours per day like many places around the Mediterranean area have... 🤷‍♂️

Saddest part about working in an all-remote company is that if a colleague you like leaves chances are you're never going to see them again in your life because they live on the other side of the world.

We Should All Have Something To Hide
Suddenly, it feels like 2000 again. Back then, surveillance programs like Carnivore, Echelon, and Total Information Awarenesshelped spark a surge in electronic privacy awareness. Now a decade later,...

Yeah, and look how that turned out. People not being able to do absolute basic ass calculus in their head is pretty concerning actually.

Bought a 400 page cookbook on breakfast dishes today and my girlfriend's first reaction was "What the fuck? You don't even eat breakfast". While she absolutely has a point, I quickly pointed out that while I don't eat at breakfast time, I do love breakfast meals so it's a perfectly fine investment!
