There's a certain way of writing "relatable" female characters that I instantly attribute to male authors. Like when their primary trauma is the unbearable life of "being too desirable." While this isn't a completely impossible scenario, these authors would never write a male character this way.

The most realistic villains to write are just selfish jerks.

I know critics want depth and uncomfortable relatability, but "dude just wants wealth and power, and is willing to step on others to get it" might be the most relevant to reality villains in existence.

Writing tips nobody talks about:

✏️ A wrist rest or an ergonomic keyboard is your best friend.
✏️ Good sitting posture IS important for prolonged writing sessions.
✏️ White pages strain eyes. You can make the page a muted color to avoid eye strain. (I use green or purple)
✏️ Stretch
