I’ve never followed the series and only know any of the characters through cultural osmosis, but I’m liking it so far!

I mean, leave out the Wizard of Oz universe swapping and the incest, and you'll be fine!

One day I decided to settle the matter. I dragged my small telescope up to the highest hill on my family’s farm. Trained it on that unmoving star…and learned that gas was $1.69.

It was the recently opened Flying J about five miles west on I-64. 😁

It didn’t stay a UFO, but my senior year of high school, a bright object appeared low to the northwest and just…stayed there. As bright as Venus, but never moved. And appeared suddenly, then never left. This was in hilly central Kentucky, so only visible on the ridge lines.

We are having technical difficulties, and I’m taking the chance to embarrass my wife.

So far I’ve semi-loudly sung “Unvieeewable…” and “No one shows the Wicked”.

Yes, I’m hilarious. 😁

Really curious how this would play in the deeply Catholic parts of Louisiana.

On the one hand, lobsters are pretty close to crawfish and Cajuns know their edible aquatic bugs.

On the other hand, eating Crustacean Jesus seems pretty significant in the sin department.

Molly and me: *sigh* Well, can't win 'em all.

Draftee: I'd like to thank my wife.

Us: Aaaayyyyy!
