The one thing that I'm not sure I'll ever lose is my love of K'nex. To this day I am still finding practical uses for it in my everyday life. Just built a clamp to attach my old webcam to my microphone arm, and hold cables up out of the way, so that I can start doing handcam things easier

When microtransactions became a widespread thing, there was all sorts of apologia as to why it was fine and good actually, even in singleplayer games, and like what are you gonna do? Not play those games? Turns out yes, I can and did do just that. AI is certainly more pernicious, but still. Fuck it!
So look man if we're just gonna be online here watching all these big studios come out and lay down on the tracks about Gen AI going "I have to do this for some reason." then I think it's more important than ever to celebrate games from based devs who are out here openly posting "Nuh uh, fuck that."
