honestly this is one reason why I don't say "pedophilia" and explicitly talk about child sexual abuse—it avoids falling into these ridiculous pedantic arguments. abuse is wrong, period. but arguments like waste everyone's time dancing around that.
Yes, @mattyglesias.bsky.social has also argued, in The Atlantic (of course), that older men pursuing sexual relationships with sixteen year olds is not pedophilia.

This vote buys time, not solutions. The fight is now squarely on DHS and Republicans are on their back foot. Democrats have less than two weeks to press their advantage — they must hold the line and refuse to fund DHS without ironclad limits on ICE and CBP.

Kudos to Mayor Mamdani.

This is what economic justice looks like.

And it's a reminder of how we can fight corporate greed at the state and local level. https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2026/01/mamdani-ice-delivery-workers-settlement-backpay-uber-gig-workers-million/

Going forward, barring super specific circumstances, I'm retiring the term "white supremacy" to describe Trump & his sycophants—because there's nothing "supreme" about them.

Instead, I'll use the term "white narcissism," because they arrogantly and falsely think their skin color makes them better.

MTG, Massie, and many other traitors turning on Trump only serve to strengthen Vance’s chances of winning in 2028
Don't be fooled by Marjorie Taylor Greene turning on Trump.

She is still a pro-Russian traitor and a conspiracy theorist.

She isn't finding a conscience, she is just fighting for control of the grift.

Do not rehabilitate these horrible people. They deserve zero support
