Strong storms do a ton besides GLE or ground level events! It also baths us in radiation that our magnetic shield usually protects us against!

Theres a good chance i may not have even been able to see them as it takes a strong storm to show up where im at! In the center part of country seems they can fly south more easily. Following the mag field lines…. Just a guess though.

Nice! Still im mad at myself for sleeping through that! I have alerts set for when kp goes up but i slept through them. I was up almost all night Tuesday into Wednesday

Yeah theres tons of good apps out there. I go off ground/ magnetometers and what bz and bt show as those are best indicators. Night before last i went out the second bz showed that strong south pull. Image was before kp even started to go up.

Heres a shot last night right over head! What an incredible storm. Pulsating bright aurora i kept seeing flashs of light and i was like whoa. Strong storm!

Yeah, I can see them. I usually always can see them if they show up on the camera you can see the red glow to the north and even make out the green.

Right now in North Central Indiana so I’m pretty far south to see this usually only stronger storms can I see
