Texan. Trying to decide what’s next for me. Still can’t find the TV remote.
My husband (the cook) is now ill.
Me (the baker) is in no damn mood to bake after a night of not sleeping due to tending to/worrying about him.
Kid (sous) is not feeling well.
Guests have been cancelled.
Tomorrow is going to involve blankets, parade, dog show, football, & snacks.
🤷‍♀️ oh well

Permian basin folks, you're getting hit with a lot of rain today. Corpus folks, be alert to flash flooding.

Turn around, don't drown.

More & more things are happening w fam in WTX, some are in town, some out in the sticks, so I’m spending lots of time on the phone as well as trips back & forth. My adult kids are now quite amused as to how my dialect & colloquialisms have slid back to that region 🤷‍♀️

Last day of early voting in TX, got that done today, some truly insane props but why should I expect anything less these days? Anyway, thank you to all the poll workers out there!

It’s that time of year in Tx where it’s cool enough to need an extra blanket but then too warm to use extra blanket for long (rinse & repeat all night)

Put clean sheets on the bed. There is NOTHING the cats enjoy more than running around tangling sheets & blankets before I can get things tucked in 😼

Due to a sudden decline in health, my brothers & I are moving family elder (89) from WTX to Fla, where he’ll have strong family support. Elder knows this is the right move but ofc doesn’t want to leave his home of decades & memories there w his deceased wife, so he’s finding excuses to drag 1/2.

I need some statewide Dems in my part of Texas, please
Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

Amazing, thank you to everyone who threw in a few bucks.

I see Cameron every time I'm at APA and part of his dedication and care is why I started volunteering on site. He and his wife are very good people.
My friend Cameron who works at APA had his truck stolen yesterday and his other vehicle needs repairs (and is ancient). Plus a shelter dog (Jasper) ate one of his shoes yesterday. Can you spare $5 to help? Thank you! #texas gofund.me/8aebf3307
