Thinking about knowledge and how quick we are to ignore it when it’s not lived experience…

History is a wonderful teacher, but it doesn’t make a point like touching a hot stove.

Well worth your time. This will go down as one of the world’s great speeches up there with FDR and JFK.

Seriously, WHEREVER you are in the world, I recommend watching all of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s powerful & already famous speech at Davos.

Can’t underestimate its leadership importance.

Key line: “Middle powers must work together, because if we’re not at the table, we’re on the menu.”

I spent the best part of the day whipping this baked cheesecake up.
We had an abundance of strawberries.
I’ve never made it before.
Big kudos to my husband who ALWAYS lines the tins for me.
It is pretty good.

Grief I know it’s a diabolically mundane quibble on the scale of world issues….
But having to reset your 2 year old TV to factory settings to reprogram into the menu vital SBS channels, is a right royal pain in the bum.🙄
Shout out to Sony Customer service they were excellent.

100 gram Lindt chocolate bars ON SALE at Coles for $5.25
About 18 months ago they were on sales regularly for 1.99
How can ordinary folks survive when every weekly shop prices escalate not by cents by dollars?

Caught up with a gal pal for a movie.
The only non adolescent viewing was Song Sung Blue.
It was a surprise we felt dealt with a few themes including mental health alcoholism and disability.
Both leads were great but Kate Hudson stands out for her impressive singing.

Awful Jennifer.
Is it naive to ask why we no longer enlist firefighting helicopters like Elvis?
I know it was on loan from the USA but instead of prioritising subs why not this sort of life saving equipment?

Staying out of the heat and watching Changing Ends with Alan Carr. Good fun about Alan’s childhood in suburban Britain in the 80’s.

It's really the bloody obvious, but those wanting to stir up dissent and division aren't troubled by that.
It would be practically and legally impossible to hold a royal commission that goes anywhere near the actions or motivations of the accused killer, before his criminal proceedings are concluded, which could take years. That limitation would render the royal commission itself pointlessly premature.

Hmmm I’ve noticed very recently that there a groceries lines on the shelves Without pricing or if there are a few items in the brand range a generic price stating Taylor’s t/bags sale 5.00, no specific type mentioned so pot luck if you get the one on sale. 🙄
Coles and Woolworths hit back at government's price gouging ban
Lower grocery bills are being promised within this new ban on price gouging, but giant retailers say they are the ones feeling the pinch.
