A good deal of nose.
Just saw the Guthrie video and I realize I've seen "The Silence of the Lambs" an unusual number of times, but I couldn't stop thinking about the scene with Senator Martin addressing Buffalo Bill about her daughter, Catherine, while listening.

I watch this video each year to build confidence before pruning the blueberries (thanks, repeatedly, to the land grants). While it helps tremendously, I still find the experience extremely stressful.

Was watching the Krewe du Vieux parade footage as I couldn't watch it live. This led to a long Mardi Gras parade discussion which ended in me trying to explain the Rex Ball. Trying.

Heck yes! Congrats to Abe and Juan!
A Multnomah County jury has awarded more than $760,000 to our client Cider Riot owner Abram Goldman-Armstrong after finding defendants associated with the far-right group Patriot Prayer liable for a violent 2019 attack. Even though the justice system moves slowly, we will always stay the course.

My weather app says nothing about precipitation but there's water falling out of the sky. Yes, a very small amount of water but it's wet and it's going to freeze later and this is entirely unwelcome.

While I love the Portland Corps of Engineers and their obsession with the Pacific lamprey, Washington DNR and the geoduck really just takes it to the next level.
✨ The mud expert has spoken✨

With recent wet weather, trails may have mud, puddles, and exposed roots. Please come prepared for these conditions, stay on the trail, and leave no trace.

It always feels like a real victory to mark complete by Wednesday my "CHECK DAHLIAS" task that comes up every other Monday.

All of those stormy days with the risk of power outages and it's some random nice afternoon when <poof!>.

Fifteen adults, three young kids, nine very wet and very excited dogs.

I'm quite tired.

Made it in and out of an absolutely slammed Safeway quickly with the only downside being "Feliz Navidad" playing as I walked out of the store. It will now occupy my brain during any quiet moments for the foreseeable future.

Just about lost my lunch watching Kilian's latest Story. Gah. The man is ridiculous.

If the spices and presentation are more in line with kruidnoten (gingerbread adjacent and definitely no anise) but the consistency is more pepernoten (chewy, which kruidnoten definitely is not), which do I call it?

This will bother me until all of the cookies are gone.

I know the season isn't even halfway through, but I'm delighted to see Hearts at the top of the table. I'm honestly just thrilled not to see Celtic or Rangers.

Just lying here watching the sky towards town light up like a lightning storm and waiting for one of the neighbor's trees (because it's always one specific neighbor's trees) to knock out our power.

If the road at Ecola State Park doesn't close due to a landslide, was it really a rain event? 🤔

Just checking in with the sisters to see if either one has a river in her yard yet, as one does.

What skill did you master that you will never, ever use again?

Archival research feels like it’s full of these, but then there’s always one throwback archive with a microfiche machine or a paper catalogue (or, indeed: NARA)

I'm not sure exactly what hard mode would be for me, as we had two VCRs by the time I was six (and a video rental store was one of the first businesses when entering town), which means I'd seen more than one movie six times by the age of seven.
