I was sitting on the steps outside the Astoria in London back in 2004. Happily texting away on my Nokia 3330. I glance over and see Melissa Auf der Maur bassist of Hole and Smashing Pumpkins walking on the street towards me and right past me and I said bugger all.

Wow. I just found out about @hkt3030.neocities.org passing away. That’s so terribly sad.
We didn’t know each other that well but were part of the same Sonic communities online since the early 2000’s. He also helped me out a few years ago when I was struggling which was so kind of him. Rest in peace

I'm surprised by how saddened I feel by the death of Gerri's husband. It shows that even virtually, connections are real. We share moments, support & our lives online & when loss touches someone it reaches us too. It’s a reminder that compassion & human connection don’t depend on physical proximity

Just dipped my toe into the world of home espresso making and drew my first “extraction” of an espresso shot (the terminology sounds a bit wanky).
I forgot to grab scales so I eyeballed it based on my research. Still better than Starbucks. Little bitter though.
Grabbed one of these buggers.
