This included untying our climbers, removing any damaged stems, and then reattaching them. A fiddly and painful job on this cold day.

Out with the team today doing our main rose pruning session. We’ve moved to a single prune in autumn, as the warm winters allow the roses to start growing as soon as it warms up in early spring.

With the temperature consistently low, it’s time to give the yew hedges a final trim so they are neat and tidy over winter.

I keep saying this should be the last rose flowers, but as we are starting to prune our roses tomorrow it’ll definitely be my last #RoseWednesday

It’s vital that when you do any pruning of trees you try and do a clean cut. You can see on this cherry tree and the slight tear on the right-hand side has caused a large amount of sap to come out.

Such a messed up season, with so many plants not knowing what to do. At the end of November we have agapanthus and kniphofia both coming into flower.

Early start for a yoga class. This are a great way to get rid of any tightness and strengthen your joints and muscles. Something all professional gardeners need to do if they want to last in the job.

Busy day with the team replacing some of our pots and adding some winter colour. Added some cyclamen, hellebores and heathers to take them through to spring.

Fascinating to see how the construction of the new Grosvenor Square is coming along. The majority of the hard landscaping is done, as well as the new soil levels and sunken pond. The new plants are even going to start being planted soon.
