Kristi Noem, Stephen Miller, Greg Bovino.

They must all resign and be held accountable.

Right now, Democrats have the power to defund and abolish ICE. We should do it. This is about right and wrong—and the murder we are seeing on the streets is just plain wrong. Anyone who supports funding DHS and ICE is supporting the murder of Americans. We can stop this.

Here are some ways to help Minnesota with all the essential but less visible needs.

But also, go get involved with your own community. Make new friends. Get those networks going. Learn what orgs in your city are already doing good work that needs support. Don't wait.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Obama is a highly popular ex-president who has an opportunity— indeed, a responsibility — to mobilize his fellow ex-presidents, call out injustice, and mobilize sustained resistance in defense of democracy and decency.

Instead, he's giving podcast recommendations like my parents or students might.

This. Nothing less than this.
Of course. And that’s why Dems need to lean in and work towards dismantling ICE.
First no funding.
Impeach Noem.
Demand hearings on ICE’s operation in MN.
Demand that Miller resign.

Don’t let up.
“An administration official gave away the game to Punchbowl News, admitting that these “de-escalatory measures” are about placating Senate Democrats so they don’t seize this moment to demand restrictions on ICE as part of any government funding package.”

I'm calling bullshit on the media narrative that Trump is "pivoting" and "deescalating" on his ICE raids. The threshold is this: As long as the military occupations and the treatment of US cities as enemy territory continue, there's no pivot. ICE out. 1/

Donald Trump Is Frightened
Trump wants to appear eager to minimize out-of-control clashes between government militias and protesters. But he doesn’t want to stop the things causing those clashes in the first place.

Now I’m personally of the view that we shouldn’t be doing aggressive immigration enforcement. But if you cared about that, you’d never pick this tactic.

“Immigration enforcement” is almost entirely pretextual here in Minnesota, an excuse to flood our communities with fear and violence.

Hard not to imagine the Vanity Fair spread when leaks from this circular firing squad start to emerge.
Breaking Axios:

Kristi Noem's language that Alex Pretti wanted to "massacre" federal agents was dictated to Noem and her department by the man most responsible for the controversial operation: Stephen Miller.

That's according to four sources who spoke to Axios. www.axios.com/2026/01/27/t...
Scoop: Stephen Miller behind misleading claim that Alex Pretti wanted to "massacre" agents
The episode illustrates the sheer power of Miller, Trump's close and longest-serving political adviser

Reminder: All it would take to end the murder of American citizens by an untrained government goon squad is 16 Republicans in Congress voting with Dems to defund ICE (or 23 to impeach and remove Trump — 3 in House & 20 in Senate). That’s it. 23 Americans can vote for the public and end all of this.

Literally, Lisa Murkowski & Thom Tillis & Mike Johnson & John Thune & Susan Collins & Brian Fitzpatrick & David Valadao & company should not be able to enter the Capitol or appear in the media without being bombarded with questions about why they aren't fulfilling their oaths right now. Focus.
As a constituent of Fitzpatrick, I'm calling his office (in vain) and regularly reminding him that as a lawyer and former FBI agent, he knows better.

There ~10 people in Congress who could end most of it now & ~25 who could end of it via impeachment/removal. But that's not going to happen unless everyone laser-focuses on them 24/7. But that, too, isn't happening. So, as @claireadida.bsky.social asks, what's the mechanism here? 🤷‍♂️
