OMFG if you work in tech support, please eliminate the wording "are you sure you know the difference" from your patter - especially while discussing a technical issue with a female.

1. There are much better ways to ask that.
2. Some of us have actually done your job.

Since Bovino left it seems every day or every other day I hear of someone abducted by ICE agents. It’s slower, less flashy, but still happening.
“Rey Wences, senior director of deportation defense at the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, noted that “abductions” continue happening “every day in both the city and the suburbs.”

A few months ago @thelocal.to got a promising pitch from a writer with bylines in whole bunch of reputable publications—The Cut, The Guardian, Dwell, Architectural Digest, etc. Then I started investigating. Here's a story about fabulists in journalism's AI slop era. thelocal.to/investigatin...

A suspicious pitch from a freelancer led editor Nicholas Hune-Brown to dig into their past work. By the end, four publications, including The Guardian and Dwell, had removed articles from their sites.

Sh*t like this should get attention: it's the intersection of this admin's DEI crap (with Abbott txlege et al support), affordability, and the destruction of American small biz.

The party's candidates pushed issues regarding test scores and bus safety over debates about which bathrooms transgender students use and banning books from school libraries.

Today was Day One with our new foster. I weighed him before we left - 100 lbs (Last puppy I adopted - 5 lbs)

Below, a pic from our car ride home: he eventually decided to sit on me. Yikes! After dinner, a show and several potty breaks, he sleeps. I think. #dogsofbluesky #mastiff #foster

We took on the case of a couple who had been detained during their green card interview. This was a couple who had been married for decades and never spent a single night apart. After being detained, they were immediately separated and sent to 2 different detention centers.
Thousands and thousands of people are in this situation; giving up their cases and accepting deportation because they can't bear being in jail any longer.

In many ways, that is a major point of detention.
Don Lupe shared that one detained man who volunteered to be deported due to unbearable conditions had to wait months.

“This is a business and it is all about money,” Don Lupe said. “There are a lot of things that are inhumane. It is more beneficial for [the business] for him to be in prison.”
