Well, ok. 💓 Demi-date Night, then:

Poke, #Persona3Reload, and bubble tea. Tomorrow, we'll catch up on #CriticalRole.

It’s an incredible success of ADA+IDEA: many disabled students can make it to college now. We should be thrilled to have student pool that better reflects society and shows the benefits of inclusion and accommodations in k-12. Celebrate that we have so many disabled students! This is a win.

And most to all of this because the state decided to give patients a deadline for picking their PCP in a Medicaid plan BEFORE the healthcare providers need to declare if they take it.

I sure hope the PCC plan in our state doesn't vanish because they think no one wants it.

Instead, I get to take a 3rd round of calls to doctors, and hope against hope they actually know which health insurance they take.

'Can't you just look us up on the provider portal?'
Ahahahahahaha no.

I tried, but there're 2: one I'm told I should no longer use, and the other whose search stinks.

So now I'm being told I cannot use the tool _the last state health connector rep TOLD me to use at this point_, because this _other_ state health connector rep is saying that once I've applied, I should only use this other one.

Which has limitations.
And from what I've been told, the SAME data.

'It's easy, ma'am. Just enter all your doctors here.'
"I actually literally cannot, because I have more than 5 PCPs and specialists, and the search only lets you enter 5."
'. . .'

The system isn't made for people who have a moderate to large care team, _shocker_.

It did not help that I kept trying to Compare Plan A (which was on the page we both could see) and Plan C (which wasn't), to understand eligibility differences . . .

. . . and they _repeatedly_ kept bringing up Plan B, which I wasn't talking about At All, but they could see on their screen, so.

'They are; one of the pages' search function just sucks more' is an answer.
'They aren't; the latter is more up to date than the former' is an answer.
'I don't know' is ALSO an answer.

But, "Ma'am, just enter all your doctors here," repeated ad nauseam only works if 'here' can FIND all of them.

But if I call our state's Health Connector reps, I should be able to say, "Hey, why can't I use the [state] Provider Search page (available to anyone w/o a login) rather than the login-requiring Health Plan Shopping Find Providers page? Aren't these the same?" and not get a nonsense answer.

Sure, if I get someone at a small healthcare clinic that's not on the insurance side, I don't expect them to be able to say which exact plans they take. That's totally normal.

Even if they say "we take the [provider] HMOs" and I point out there are _three types of those_, and they now don't know.
