Ultraman Omega was really good this week, maybe one of my favorite episodes of the show so far. It's a love letter to tokusatsu and the people who love it, with some pretty great tokusatsu sequences therein. They should let Taguchi loose more often.

Just found this Konami Guiron figure made for Gamera's 40th anniversary? I assume it's meant to be a kind of Heisei take on knife guy.
Genuinely never seen this before, but it's kinda freaky. Wish I could find more about it.

Watched Ultraman X The Movie! It was a fun time, combining the Tiga and Baradhi lore for X's universe felt pretty inspired, and honestly seeing my guys show up never gets old. Zaigorg is an awesome Kaiju too, glad he could sorta just be a monster and not yet another dark emperor.

I really enjoyed it! After Ginga left me pretty cold, X felt like a great return to form. Some gripes persist from Ginga, but even those are much better implemented. It's a good time.

Modern Toku is chock full of people treating toys like they're deadly weapons in-universe but this one might even the most unfortunate I've seen in a hot minute. Those colors make it look like he's threatening them with a Nerf gun.

Buying SHMA and Figuarts this year has been nuts because there's some really poseable, fun figures that remind me why I love this hobby, released next to a repaint of some pretty dusty, crusty old molds from nearly a decade ago.
