350 kanji and like 1200 bits of vocabulary in, single most frustrating part of learning Japanese has been seeing 大 in a word and trying to remember if it's pronounced tai or dai... every pattern i try to commit to memory ends up with outliers and so often it's just a coinflip that I lose...

no one tells you but you can just make your own awards ceremonies with your own games, with an announcer and fun award art and everyone coming together at once for the event and spectacle. we've been doing it for years in domino club! its fun! who cares about any "official" awards!
