The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

Should Gibb be sacked? yes, obviously. He's an abomination of basic journalistic standards. His GB News channel spreads conspiracy theory & disinformation. His Jewish Chronicle newspaper spreads invented stories. He is plainly trying to undermine the BBC so it's as bad as everything else he touches.

Well past time, but Warren Zevon has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A truly great songwriter, so much more to him than the song he's best known for.

Traditional American politics is premised on the notion that sometimes you lose and sometimes you win and you have to deal with that.
But Trumpism is premised on the notion that any result where you don’t win is illegitimate, unlawful, fraud, criminal.
You can’t negotiate with people like that.

In just six months, China added 256 gigawatts (GW) of new #solar capacity — more than the entire solar infrastructure ever built by the United States. That’s enough clean energy to power over 40 million homes, marking the fastest renewable expansion in human history.

I know it’s too much to expect them to know their history, but if the American Revolution had a motto, it definitely would not have been “immigrants go home.”
It would have been “get your fucking soldiers out of our cities.”
