I don’t care for TLJ, but it’s far from a horribly written mess. It doesn’t work for me, but to even entertain the notion that a coherent passion project is in the same realm as a rushed by-committee mess? JJ is an underrated director though, people focus on his flourishes rather than his strengths.

If we can judge Janeway by the powerful & cohesive performance of Mulgrew for the intended overall character rather than the inconsistent writing of episodic television, we can also judge Neelix by the clearly intended character brought to life by a wonderful performance from Phillips… 🤷‍♀️

The writer seems chill: cool person, good vibes. But how is this where we’re at? It legitimately takes very little to make me care about your thoughts, especially on a topic I’m already engaged with, but these nothingness non-essays? What are we doing? Proving “ai” definitely COULD do our jobs? Why?

It doesn’t have obvious “ai” fingerprints, but it’s at about that level of writing. I say that not as an accusation, but rather to convey how unnecessary it is to read it.
