What is up, Bluesky!
I've heard this is the place to be if you think responsible content moderation and censorship aren't synonyms.

Also federation seems neat.

Among other things, I'm looking to connect with other software devs on here - I work from home and man it gets lonely sometimes!

As I go to install Bluesky on my new phone, this is the search result I get.

This is quite something. I'm not opposed to getting outside of my bubble, to be clear. Interesting, though, that the sponsored app is now *above* the thing I explicitly searched for.

If you've spent minutes on end watching the "buffering" symbol spin endless circles when trying to stream video content or use high-speed internet, you're not alone — especially if you live in rural B.C.

Please read this open letter from the BC ferry workers' Union about what happened when Graham Clarke stepped into the negotiation, and come to your own conclusions:

This very favorable article is about a man who owns a number of businesses in BC and elsewhere. This includes Western Pacific Marine, a ferry company whose workers have been on strike since May 2024.
