Thinking fondly of this as I hang a tree full of “your ornamental purchases help developing nation artisans” wool Mongolian horses, knitted monkeys, paper snowflakes, felt snow sprites & a little fuzzy sheep Honey-cat loved to “hunt,” so I always put it on a lower branch in her honor. Kill, kill!

A good thing about being a grownup is you can make a big loaf of bread & then just rip a fresh piece off with your bare hands & eat it soaked in olive oil, you are beyond the reach of the law.

Re #4 sure it's totally unethical but still interesting sometimes when you see the actors trying to act but all looking like this:

I haven’t seen it but have seen reviews that make the ending sound a lot like this:

Since Bond talk is all over the timeline: Yeah yeah, I know, everyone hates Never Say Never Again except me but even Siskel & Ebert had to agree, this fella was just fun.

Letterboxd Friday #LastFourWatched 📽️: An ill-fated Purple Rain sequel that, I'm sorry, I liked more than its predecessor; a melancholy slice-of-life indie; a "comfortable bourgeoise in a repressive regime" tale not nearly as good as The Official Story; a fantastical blaxploitation favorite.

Haven’t posted any in a while but still continuing my “learning to draw skulls” project—I decided to draw 100 of them until I know the proportions in my sleep & though #28 still ain’t much it’s still getting easier. All that muttering “halves & thirds, halves & thirds” to myself might pay off.

One of Robert Redford’s earliest roles is still one of my favorites—the Twilight Zone episode “Nothing in the Dark,” where the world’s most clean-cut Angel of Death brings a terrified elderly woman to a moving acceptance that her time has come & with it the end of fear. RIP

So anyway, I’m reading this. I like it enough I already bought its two “sequels,” Silver Light & Connecticut.

Skull #7: A “pop quiz” after a couple of days away, not focusing on drawing quality but purely how well I have facial proportions down from memory. Cranium definitely should be bigger but I give it a 65/100—zygomatic arches are tricky.
