First time for everything, paladin tank, stood using PASSAGE OF ARMS for every single pack pull, waited for it to come off cooldown before pulling the boss. AND THEN PROCEEDED TO USE IT AT THE START OF THE BOSS FIGHT that then took an entire five minutes to clear. I'll take that 30 mins thanks.

Celestaux leaned back in his seat, smiling softly as he watched Krile pull G’raha into the crowd of people, the both of them laughing and smiling and happy. The two of them were happier than he’d seen either of them in months, which eased some of the weight in his chest.

He couldn’t remember what they were celebrating, some festival for Thaliak or perhaps the Twelve as a whole? Regardless, the name of the holiday was one that Celestaux hadn’t recognized the name of, but the aetheryte plaza of Sharlayan was full of music and laughter and food stands and just pure joy. Celestaux could even see some of the researchers and scholars from Labyrinthos mingling around in some of the crowds, talking with the Scions and others that Celestaux didn’t recognize. It was a much needed festival after everything that happened in the last year.

Before every lecture, G’raha usually went down a checklist of things.
1. Check if the slides were pulled up
2. Check that his microphone and camera were connected and working
3. Fill his water bottle
4. Get a cup of tea
5. Close the blinds

There was nothing wrong with the view out his window, it looked out onto the fields and the barn behind the old farmhouse he and his husband lived in. But the glare from the sun was usually distracting on the screen and it wasn’t uncommon for some of the animals to be out, which could be distracting, so it was just better to close them.

But it’d been an overcast day and G’raha had been running late with hooking up his equipment, so he’d completely forgotten to close the blinds.

He carefully set his pen down before it could drip ink onto the page and twisted in his seat to fully face his lover, eyebrows raised in surprise. “Zhai’a, are you… asking me if I want to get married?”

Zhai’a flushed and looked away from him, suddenly intent on a particular whorl in the woodgrain of the desk’s surface. “Not… not exactly. Not marriage the way it’s done in places like Ishgard. I realize it’s a lot to ask, but—”

“Yes.”

“—after all of that time we spent trying to pretend that we felt otherwise, it feels important that we should—”

“Yes.”

“—make a more intentional declaration of our relationship as a conscious choice, rather than continuing to—”

B’alith’s tail thumped impatiently against the back of his chair. “Zhai’a!”

Zhai’a started at the sudden outburst that had finally broken through what was obviously a carefully-rehearsed argument. “What?”

“I already said yes, you neurotic fool.” B’alith smiled, feeling his heart do the peculiar flutter it always did when he expressed affection for the anxiety-prone Hearer. “Let’s do it. In front of the Seedseers, the Elementals, whomever you want. Just… maybe not too many people? I’ve never been very good with crowds.”
