silliest recent music obsession has been this dulcimer-fretless bass-drums trio i heard on the jazz station that sounds like someone slipped uppers into the windham hill studio’s water supply
received slightly mixed signals yesterday being welcomed into my friend’s house and then having this be the first thing i see (i would die for this rabbit)

the viola part in the last ~5 minutes of this is soo gorgeous and transcendent and it would be so cool to play it someday but i would a) need to become a just intonation sicko and b) find three other just intonation sickos but maybe that's just something i'll do

sometimes i remember how when i was teaching music classes this was the one piece i had students listen to that no one really vibed with (and they managed to vibe with some truly weird stuff) and it makes me a little sad because it's such an incredibly tactile piece
